Conservas, a new solo bag-building game from designer Scott Almes and publisher 25th Century Games, is now available. In this one-player strategy game, players take on the role of a tinning company owner on the Spanish coast who must sustainably harvest fish while meeting monthly business goals.
The game blends resource management and environmental balance. Each round, players fish from a bag filled with chits representing sea life and water, bringing select catches back to their facility while leaving others to repopulate the sea. The game offers a series of 12 different scenarios, randomized boat and upgrade cards, and unique market conditions.

Conservas is designed for solo play and takes approximately 25 to 40 minutes per game. Players must manage boats, invest wisely, and meet a rotating set of goals that balance profitability with sustainability. Overfishing leads to failure, pushing players to find long-term ecological strategies rather than quick profits.
To mark the release, 25th Century Games is including a free copy of Sunny Day Sardines with every Conservas order placed through April 30 at 11:59 PM ET. Sunny Day Sardines is a quick family card game for 2–4 players focused on fulfilling sardine can orders to earn points.
Conservas has been named a finalist for BoardGameGeek’s Golden Geek Award for Best Solo Game of the Year. It retails for $30 and is available now through 25th Century Games and participating retailers.
