It’s a new anime season and here’s some of the hot shows coming out soon you might want to keep an eye on!
Chainsaw Man
Likely the most anticipated show of the whole year, let alone the whole season, Chainsaw Man follows young Denji who ends up contracting with a demon which allows his body to turn into chainsaws. It’s an odd premise but the manga is dark, complex and a gut punch of emotions – in fact, you can see my own thoughts on the series in my article here. If you’re a fan of action and dark shows then this is definitely one you want to check out.
Spy x Family season 2
The continuation of last season’s darling, ‘Spy x Family’ promises more exciting and fun antics from the unusual Forger family – if you’re already watching this series then you’ll most likely be looking forward to the continuation. If you haven’t already seen this show then it’s time to start catching up!
Raven of the Inner Palace
A historical fantasy series based around a mysterious consort in a Chinese-inspired land who can cast magic, the trailer for this one gives off big Hell Girl vibes and promises some mystery for the new season. The animation is gorgeous and the concept is one I’ve seen done before in manga but rarely in anime.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
Another sequel but one that I wasn’t expecting – one of the biggest Shounen Jump series of all time, Bleach’s last anime ended back in 2012 and the manga series ended back in 2016 at over 700 chapters. There’s been a lot of controversy about where this series will be streaming however after the original series has been recently removed from Crunchyroll but rumours point to it going to Disney+. There have been some recent animes also added to the Disney+ catalogue but given the slowness of them making it available in all regions, it might take a while for this to be available to watch.
Urusei Yatsura (2022)
A remake of the original 70’s/80 era anime which saw a tiger bikini-clad alien girl land on Earth and ran for almost 200 episodes, this new anime still manages to keep the charming art style of the original but just polished up a bit to fit the modern age. It’s already got 2 seasons planned, with the first set to clock in at around 46 episodes. This series was one of the blueprints for many of the sci-fi and supernatural rom-com anime that are popular today but can it hold up in 2022? There’s only one way to find out…

Well it doesn’t look like there’s anything new according to you that’s going to be an addition to one of the thousands of fucking shows that have only 12 episodes or 24
So far, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is living up to its hype.
