Japan crim Co., Ltd. has officially announced the upcoming digital release of the HD remastered version of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for the Nintendo Switch, scheduled for April 28, 2024.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is inspired by the ancient narrative found within the “Book of Enoch,” part of the Old Testament’s apocrypha. Players embark on a celestial journey as Enoch, a figure of righteousness, tasked with preventing a cataclysmic flood by capturing the souls of Fallen Angels. The game blends action-packed combat with both 2D and 3D platforming elements.
Featuring an anime-style graphical presentation, El Shaddai is known for its dynamic visual transitions that evolve as players delve deeper into this adventure. The game’s unique approach to combining various gaming genres with its simple control scheme ensures that players of all skill levels can fully immerse themselves in Enoch’s quest.
For the Nintendo Switch, the remastered version boasts significant improvements including full HD support, an enhanced frame rate, optimized loading times, and overall performance enhancements to deliver a more visually stunning and fluid gaming experience.
