In modern Japan, a young girl named Yuna faces the end of the world. While walking home from school with her friends, she is attacked by monsters. There is panic in the streets as the creatures attack more and more civilians. During the confusion, Yuna falls off of a bridge and ends up trapped in the sewers, Where she meets a new friend, a mysterious person in a mascot suit called Kawachan. Yuna & Kawachan is a lovely comic. So far there aren’t very many chapters out, so if you start reading this one you’ll have to wait for an update each week. However, In my opinion, it’s worth the wait. The story is still very early on, so I’m not exactly sitting on the edge of my seat to read more, however, it is good enough that I do want to read it when it updates.

The art in Yuna & Kawachan is really well done! What stands out the most, however, is the color scheme. The comic is so bright and vibrant, I really enjoy looking at the artwork because of this. The characters are all drawn really well, too. Their emotions are very clearly expressed, as well as their intentions. Even Kawachan is somehow easy to read, though you never see their actual face.

Personally, I think Yuna & Kawachan is an excellent comic with a ton of potential. I am excited to see where the story goes, and how Yuna survives while looking for an evacuation point. However, considering that there are only a few episodes of the comic out right now, there isn’t a lot for me to judge. Regardless of this, Yuna and Kawachan has great potential, and as I said, I am genuinely excited to see where it goes.
