Having a stalker is usually seen as a bad thing, right? However, what happens if your stalker is there to protect you? If the things he’s doing are all, in the end, to keep you safe? Do you push him away, due to the creepy nature of what he’s done? Or would you keep him around? Well, you’ll have to keep reading this Webtoon Review of It’s Mine, to see if you’ll want to check out the comic for yourself!

This Webtoon has two main characters, so far. Yohan Do, a mysterious boy who does everything in his power to protect the girl he’s obsessed with, and Dajeong Lee the headstrong girl that doesn’t appreciate being stalked. Can you blame her? Yohan is a stalker, that’s for sure. He has a lot of strange skills, such as following people, breaking and entering, and fighting. He’s also decent at taking pictures of people who aren’t looking. However, even though he does all of these creepy things, he seems very naive and genuinely doesn’t know that his actions are wrong.

Dajeong is adamant that she can take care of herself. She reacts angrily when she discovers she’s being stalked by Yohan, and even tells him to go away. She tells him she doesn’t want to see him anymore and that she would never be his friend. Luckily, or rather, unluckily for Dajeong, Yohan is resilient.

The artwork in It’s Mine is very nice! It’s a more simplistic “anime” style, with mostly vacant backgrounds. It does show important details, like when someone is locked in a room, but afterward, it tends to stick to just showing the character and the emotions on their face. While it is more simplistic, it’s very pleasant to look at. It even has action lines when a character has a very strong reaction. One thing I’d like to mention is the attention to detail. There may not be a lot of bright colors or detailed backgrounds, but the artist is very consistent with the details they do use. For example, Yohan has a mole under his left eye that stays pretty consistent throughout every page. I appreciate little details like that, so props to the artist for remembering it every time!

Overall It’s Mine is a good read. It has a very compelling story that I couldn’t tell you about for fear of spoiling the comic! I would definitely suggest reading it for yourself if you’re a fan of intrigue and suspense. It’s Mine updates every Monday and is currently on Episode 21. There are sensitive themes and subjects in this comic, so please keep that in mind! There’s a lot of violence, as well!
