    Warner Bros. Debuts First ‘Mowgli’ Trailer

    Yesterday, the first trailer for Warner Bros. Mowgli dropped, giving audiences their first look at the latest adaptation of the collection of stories written by Rudyard Kipling. Directed by Andy Serkis (known for his motion capture work as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings movies and Caesar in the most recent Planet of the Apes trilogy), Mowgli has reportedly been in production for years but now is finally coming to theaters this year. Unlike the Disney adaptations, Mowgli looks to be a much darker film than both the 1967 and 2016 The Jungle Book movies. And with big names like Christian Bale, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, and Naomie Harris involved, the movie looks to be an interesting take on the story that may be closer to the source material than the family-friendly Disney versions.
