Brother Ming Games, known for creating unofficial tabletop adaptations of franchises like Persona, Code Geass, and Fire Emblem is inviting artists to get involved in Anna’s Roundtable. Anna’s Roundtable is a relaunch of the original Fire Emblem fan game.
Designer Brother Ming and HiNA, the project lead, are hoping to make the project a giant collaboration with 80+ artists. Until now Brother Ming has mostly been working on his games by himself, but a chance conversation with HiNA led to a shift in development.
HiNA wanted a copy of the original Fire Emblem fan game and ended up using his art to pay for his copy. “I wanted a copy and couldn’t afford it, and Ming offered me to do a trade,” says HiNA. “I could draw a card for the project, and he’d provide me with a copy.” Eventually one of HiNA’s contacts suggested making the game a community project to the duo. “We rebranded the whole project while we were thinking of putting everyone’s work under the same ‘banner.’ Since the old version had ‘heroes aesthetic,’ this one should have its own thing,” HiNA explains.
