The tabletop RPG book Pirate Borg: Down Among the Dead from Limithron surpassed its funding goal in just two minutes and raised over $200,000 within the first six hours. This dark, pirate-themed RPG, known for its rich narrative and immersive gameplay, has already unlocked 16 stretch goals.
Limithron has partnered with Free League Publishing to publish Among the Dead to ensure both the core book and expansions will be available to a global audience.
Additionally, the campaign revealed the Lost Soul” Edition, a limited print run with black faux leather, foil-stamped, and embossed cover.
For new players, Limithron announced the Pirate Borg Starter Set, an all-in-one box designed to introduce fresh GMs and players to the game’s world, while still offering new content for seasoned pirates. The Starter Set includes punch-out tokens, laminated character cheat sheets, double-sided battle maps, and the newly developed starter adventure, Trapped in the Tropics. The set also includes a Jolly Roger dice set.
The stretch goals unlocked so far include features like the Jolly Roger Flag Generator, a glow-in-the-dark GM screen, and the addition of the Deep One character class. As the campaign sails on, upcoming stretch goals will add more content, including an Obol Coin Generator and expanded support for Virtual Tabletop platforms.
