Disney unvealed the first official trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. Prior to today, the last we’d seen of this movie was the teaser trailer that dropped in February.
With returning writers/directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, the sequel has returning protagonists Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) moving beyong the video game realm and exploring the internet. From the trailer, we can already expect to see popular socail media websites like Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter to appear. On top of this, other Disney properties made appearances in the trailer as well such as stormtroopers, Iron Man, and other Disney princesses.
With the meta nature presented in this trailer, it will be interesting to see whether Disney uses this opportunity to make clever commentary on social media and their other properties or if their usage will simply be to make references to pull in greater mass appeal.
