New Fire Emblem Heroes Banner: Scattered Fangs

Nintendo Mobile has revealed the latest banner for its free-to-play strategy game, Fire Emblem Heroes. This new banner brings three heroes from Fire Emblem (Also known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade). In addition to Nino’s first alternate, this banner also features Karla and Legault making their Fire Emblem Heroes debut.

    Karla – Sword Vassal

Karla is joining an already bloated roster of infantry sword units. While she will have a lot of competition, Karla brings in a flurry of skills that will complement her (assumed) high speed. Karla carries Vassal’s Blade, which accelerates her cooldown trigger also deals extra damage based on how high her speed is compared to her opponents. It even combos with phantom speed, which hasn’t been too useful up to this point. Karla also has Draconic Aura, Wrath 3, and Even Spd Wave 3.

    Legault – The Hurricane

Legault is an infantry dagger unit that aims to punish units that gain bonuses from allies. The Cleaner+ is a dagger that increases Legault’s damage by the number of bonuses his opponent has, in addition to a Def/Res debuff after combat. Legault also has Glimmer, Swift Strike 2, and Atk Tactic 3.

    Nino – Pale Flower

Nino’s first alternate aims to teach her summoner what pegasuses are. As a green tome flying unit, Nino brings a lot of potential to her team. Her blade tome has been replaced with Giga Excalibur, which works like Karla’s Sword Vassal. She also has Moonbow, Swift Sparrow 2, Aerobatics 3, and Spd Smoke 3. Aerobatics allows Nino to move adjacent to an ally that isn’t a flier, as long as they are within two spaces.

    Our take

Despite the competition in her class, Karla will likely fill a niche role on her team at worst. If her attack and speed are high enough, she might even be more viable than Ayra. Karla also comes with a fantastic kit that synergizes with her prf weapon.

Legault is likely going to be the worst unit in this banner, like most dagger units. The Cleaner+ may prove to be useful in the arena against flier and cavalry teams, but dagger units traditionally have low attack stats and can’t provide much more than a debuffing role. Legault is likely to be viable, but he will need support to succeed in the current meta.

Nino will be competing with Karla for the most desired unit in this banner. Flying green tome uses are rare, with the only two being seasonal units. If she has just a decent offensive set she should be formidable with flier support.

As usual, we can expect one of these units to be demoted, and it is likely to be Legault. All of the units can serve as great fodder, as they all have unique and useful skills that are inheritable. Karla is the second Wrath user in the game, which is good for those who have not been able to pull a Nephenee yet. Regardless of who gets the demotion, this is a great banner for those who want to use the units and those who need useful skills for their favorites.
