Nintendo Mobile has revealed the latest banner for its free-to-play strategy game, Fire Emblem Heroes. Like last May, this is another bridal banner, featuring three alternates of popular heroes wearing bridal attire. This year’s bridal banner features Ninian, Sanaki, and Tharja. Each alternate brings new movement types and weapons, as well as few new skills, so let’s take a look.
Ninian – Bright Eyed Bride
Ninian returns with her first alternate in Fire Emblem Heroes. This time Ninian is a blue tome flier that still has her signature dance ability. In addition to Dance, Ninian also has a tome that grants Speed +4 to her and adjacent allies at the start of a turn. She also has Drive Spd 2, and Chill Atk 3. Overall, Ninian appears to be a great support asset for any team due to her superior mobility and skills.
Sanaki – Apostle in White
This is Sanaki’s first alternate, who is a green tome wielder that rides in on a pegasus. Sanaki possesses the Nifl Frostflowers, which boosts her Atk/Spd based on the number of adjacent allies, potentially giving her +6 if she is surrounded by friends. Sanaki also has Def/Res Link 3, which is the first movement assist-related buff skill. If a movement Assist skill is used by Sanaki, or another unit uses a skill on Sanaki, they will both be granted Def/Res+6.
Tharja – Obsessive Bride
Tharja returns with her second alternate in Fire Emblem Heroes, this time wearing a black wedding gown. She also is the only infantry unit featured in this banner. Tharja’s red tome is much like Sanaki’s. Tharja also has Spd Feint 3 in her C-Slot, which inflicts Spd-7 on foes in cardinal directions through their next actions if a rally-assist skill is used.
Who Should You Pull?
All three units are interesting and seem to bring a decent amount of support to their teams, but it seems like Tharja got the short-end of the stick in this banner. She is the only character that isn’t a flier, and there is a lot of competition in the red tome slot, including the original Tharja herself. Ninian will likely be the most desirable unit due to her Dance skill. She is also the first flying tome user that is able to dance, which gives her a unique edge over other dancers. Of course, we still don’t know the stats of these units, which can obviously make or break a character. I personally am not thrilled about any character in particular, but the bridal banners are a great opportunity for someone to pull a special alternate for their waifu.
Is That a Marth Alternate?!
Finally, the end of the trailer did show what appears to be a Marth wearing groom attire. It is likely that Marth will be a free unit in the near future, possibly during the upcoming Conquest event. This is great for those who want Marth, who doesn’t have an alternate yet. This is unfortunate for those who would like to give Marth a significant amount of merges since there likely won’t be more than two Marth’s given away.
The Bridal Bloom banner will debut on May 21st and will run until June 20th. Since these are special units, they will not be added to the summoning pool when this banner ends.
