    Mangaka: Kousuke Oono

Chapter 55 finds Lady Tori visiting a cat café where Tatsu works part-time. Here, we see a new side of Tori as she fawns over the many cats.

This chapter has all the typical stylings that make this manga so great, from the yakuza-stylings of mundane events to the aggresively over-the-top reactions characters have towards each other. It’s always fun when two or more yakuza characters interact, so having both Tori and Tatsu here made for a very fun scenario.

The cat theme is both cute and funny, especially with Tatsu introducing the different cats with gang-like nicknames. However, the story takes a rather heartfelt turn towards the end with Tori and a stray cat that still remains funny while also being pretty sweet.

The artwork, as always, is great. Oono is just as good at drawing cats as he is humans, so everthing looks really great. As an added bonus, we get to see a couple of cats making dramatic or intimidating faces like Tatsu normally does.

There isn’t a whole lot to say about this chapter, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good; on the contrary, this is one of the better chapters we’ve gotten recently. The gags are on point, and the story is both fun and touching. If you’re a fan of the series, you have to read this one.
