ININ Games has announced the pre-order start date of physical limited editions of Pocky & Rocky Reshrined for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Limited and Collector’s Edition as well as exclusive bundles will be available to pre-order on March 31 at Strictly Limited Games and Gamesrocket.
ININ Games’ announcement is made in collaboration with Natsume and TAITO Corporation. “The roots of Pocky and Rocky reach back to the ‘80s when TAITO’s arcade game Kiki Kaikai was first released and delighted gamers of all ages. And now, the heroic shrine maiden is finally back for new adventures together with her raccoon companion Rocky and three other playable characters in Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.”
The third and latest addition to the series is a multi-directional scrolling shooter with retro-inspired graphics and sound design. It features five characters to choose from including the titular Pocky and Rocky. Players can take on the Pocky & Rocky Reshrined‘s story mode solo or play with a friend cooperatively in the game’s Free Mode. Pocky & Rocky Reshrined will also feature an easy mode and online leaderboards for wider appeal.
The Limited Edition is limited to 2,500 individually numbered copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,500 copies for PS4, at a price of $34.99, including a special cover artwork and a colorful game manual.
The Collector’s Edition is limited to 2,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,000 for PS4. It costs $79.99 and comes with exclusive physical collectibles, including a CD, standees, post cards, and more.
Both the Limited and the Collector’s Edition will also be available bundled with a ~27cm / 10.6in Rocky plushie.
The Limited Edition Bundle is limited to 999 units for Nintendo Switch and 499 units for PS4, at a price of $69.99. The Collector’s Edition Bundle is limited to 999 Nintendo Switch and 499 PS4 units, available for $109.99.
All versions will be available for pre-order on Thursday, March 31st 4pm CEST at Strictly Limited Games and Gamesrocket.
