The official Konosuba anime Twitter account confirmed that Konosuba will have a movie release in the near future. The tweet follows speculation among the fanbase that there could possibly be a third season of the series, which has not yet been confirmed. The movie will be animated by J.C Staff, which makes this the first Konosuba anime project to not be animated by Studio Deen. J.C Staff is known for anime such as Toradora!, Shokugeki No Souma, and Bakuman.
