Granblue Fantasy is getting the tabletop board game treatment in September. Japanime Tactics, a competitive skirmish wargame that lets players use characters from their favorite franchises, is Japanime Games’ upcoming crossover event. The first set features Granblue Fantasy, a popular mobile game franchise that has seen many crossovers itself.
Japanime Games is launching two base game starter sets. The Gran Starter Set includes Gran, Lyria, Rackam, and Noa, while the Djeeta Starter Set includes Djeeta, Katalina, Io, and Vira. There will also be 12 expansion packs that can be pre-ordered in a box with all 12, and four promo character packs that include Katalina, The Lowain Bros, Meteon, and Blazing Teacher Elmott.
The Volume 1 Expansion box includes Sturm, Drang, Zeta, Vaseraga, Beatrix, Eustace, Ilsa, Sandalphon, Lucio, Lowain, Vania, and Zooey.
In Granblue Fantasy, players use their characters’ ability cards to engage in battles on a modular board. Players strategically utilize their cards to attack and defend, with the flexibility to match colors and action types for bonuses, while unlocking unique abilities specific to each character. With unique objectives and interaction with the terrain, players must outmaneuver their opponents and score points before running out of cards.
Japanime Games also offers accessories, including sleeves and playmats with characters like Cagliostro and Grimnir.
