Sticky Chestnut Rice is a dish that heals a lot of HP and RP, and it just so happens to be one of only two items that Murasame loves in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. If you’re hoping to build a bond with the cool swordsman, this is one recipe worth chasing down as soon as you gain access to Autumn Region.
Unlocking the Sticky Chestnut Rice Recipe
You’ll find the recipe deep in the Autumn Region, specifically in the far east area of Windmill Hill. To reach the frog statue that unlocks it, you’ll need to climb a few Windmills and other elevated structures. The path is blocked by patches of blight, so be prepared to navigate around or over them to gain access to the buds that destroy them.
Once found, the frog statue will reward you with the recipe for Sticky Chestnut Rice. To cook Sticky Chestnut Rice, you will need 1 sticky rice and 1 chestnut, so stock up early! When consumed, it restores 850 HP and 40 RP.

Why Give It to Murasame?
Sticky Chestnut Rice is loved by Murasame, one of the most popular characters in the game so far. He’s calm, focused, and spends most of his days training in Spring Village. His birthday is Spring 4, making this an excellent birthday gift for a big relationship boost, though players will have to wait until Year 2 to maximize their gains.
