Azuma Sake is a tasty adult beverage and a great gift for deepening your relationships with two of the game’s most popular characters: Ulalaka and Kai. Whether you’re going for marriage or just collecting every recipe in the game, here’s everything you need to know about unlocking Azuma Sake’s recipe.
To earn the recipe for Azuma Sake, you’ll need to sweep 30 Jizo statues scattered across Azuma. There are 50 Jizo statues total, and each time you sweep a multiple of 10 (10, 20, 30, etc.), you’ll receive a chest the following morning with special rewards.
At the 30-statue milestone, players unlock the recipes for Azuma Sake, Spring Kuchikamizake, and Peach Nectar. You will need 1 rice and 1 sticky rice to make it, so be ready and start farming.
If you’re still a few statues short or just prefer to buy, Azuma Sake can also occasionally be purchased from Yachiyo’s Izakaya in Autumn Village, though stock is limited and rotates over time. The sake may appear in other travelling carts and shops as well, but is often limited to a stock of 1 when available.

Who Likes Azuma Sake Again?
This drink is loved by Ulalaka and liked by Kai, making it a great gift for both.
Ulalaka lives in Spring Village and radiates warmth and positivity. She’s inspired by the gentle energy of spring and wants nothing more than for people to live in peace and joy. Her birthday is Spring 27, making that the perfect day to gift her Azuma Sake for bonus affection.
Kai, on the other hand, is the masked leader of the oni in Autumn Village. Though gruff and distant at first, he’s fiercely loyal to those who earn his respect. His birthday is Autumn 20, when a gift of Azuma Sake will be particularly well-received.
