Dark Horse Comics, in collaboration with CD Projekt Red has announced the latest entry in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe with a new four-part comic miniseries titled Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown. The series is penned by Tomasz Marchewka, a key writer for the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion, alongside artist Jake Elphick, colorist Jason Wordie, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic. The series will feature cover art by Elphick, with each issue offering variant covers by artists such as RUDCEF, André Lima Araújo with Chris O’Halloran, and concept artist DOFRESH.
Bartosz Sztybor, Comic Book & Animation Narrative Creator for CD Projekt Red, expressed enthusiasm about introducing newly designed cars specifically for this series, expanding the Cyberpunk 2077 lore beyond the game. The storyline follows the daughter of a renowned carjacker as she navigates through the perilous landscape of Night City, mingling with a diverse cast of gangsters, racers, and criminals, all while trying to rectify the past.
The first issue of Cyperpunk 2077: Kickdown is scheduled for release on July 3, 2024, and is currently available for pre-order at comic shops.
