BOOM! Studios has unveiled an early glimpse into Blow Away #1, a new comic series set to debut in the spring of 2024. Written by Zac Thompson, known for his adaptation of Hunt for the Skinwalker, and illustrated by Nicola Izzo, with colors by Francesco Segala and Gloria Martinelli, and lettering by DC Hopkins, Blow Away is poised as a neo-noir crime thriller drawing inspiration from classics like Fargo and Rear Window.
The narrative centers on Brynne Brautigan, a determined wildlife videographer stationed in the desolate expanse of Baffin Island, who inadvertently becomes a witness to the possible murder of two climbers. Her pursuit of the truth unveils more than she bargained for, hinting at deeper mysteries and dangers lurking in the icy wilderness.
The comic, featuring covers by Annie Wu, Tyler Boss, and Tula Lotay, is slated for release on April 17, 2024, and is currently available for pre-order at comic shops and digital platforms including Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
