Bloodshot released this weekend, meaning that it is time to pick up merchandise for the cool new action hero. Unsurprisingly, McFarlane Toys released a sweet new action figure for the character played by Vin Diesel. This 7″ figure does a fine job at capturing Vin Diesel’s likeness and is a great addition to any collector’s shelf.
This action figure comes with a simple base, two guns, a knife, and a rifle. It has 22 moving parts for articulation, allowing for collectors to pose the hero in just about any way they see fit. The character’s face is clearly based around Vin Diesel and not the comic book look, and McFarlane does a great job at making the character look just like the actor. Those who aren’t familiar with Bloodshot will likely be able to look at this figure and instantly identify him as Vin Diesel.
The attention to detail is impressive, with precise and accurate paint. Everything from the face to the clothing is expertly crafted, especially when one considers the price. The sculpting is clean, making the figure look dynamic and lifelike. As expected from McFarlane Toys, I couldn’t find a single spot on the figure where the paint and color bleeds. The paint on the guns feels lifelike due to colors that aren’t just simple matte. The silver is glossy giving it the metallic feel that it needs.
The figure and be posed in tons of different ways, some natural and some unnatural. With all the accessories, owners can enjoy their figure living out any scene from the film. The weapons all fit naturally into the figure’s hands and are easy to swap out. The knife is massive, making it one of the more impressive accessories in this package. The two pistols look familiar, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this exact guns with a different McFarlane toy. Still, they look great so I won’t complain. The rifle is full of notches and detail, making it a fine choice if owners want to spotlight that accessory over the others. If the pistols are holstered, the figure can hold all four accessories at once.
The base is simple and unremarkable. It’s a light circle that isn’t too thick. It has the Bloodshot title logo. It’s serviceable but won’t catch any looks.
This is an excellent looking action figure with a lot of detail. It looks just like the character and is a fantastic figure when you consider the accessible price point. Bloodshot fans will want to add this one to their collection.
