5 Characters That Should Be Added to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT As DLC

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a fighting game by Square Enix and Koei Tecmo. The fighter features over 30 characters from the Final Fantasy franchise. The impressive roster is constantly growing, with new characters being added as DLC regularly. Here are 5 characters that we would like to see added to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT next.

Auron

Auron is easily the coolest character in Final Fantasy X, so why isn’t he a playable character yet? My only guess is that Final Fantasy X already has a decent amount of representation in it with Tidus, Yuna, and Jecht. Only six Final Fantasy games have three characters present, and none have four so far. Still, Final Fantasy X is debatably the most popular game in the series next to Final Fantasy VII, so if any game gets four characters, I think it will be this one. Auron is an obvious candidate for a Vanguard, but I can see him thriving in the Assassin role as well.

Rydia

When I think of the best-supporting characters from Final Fantasy IV, Rydia always comes to mind first. She has a fantastic story arc, becoming one of the strongest characters in the game, both physically and emotionally. Like Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy IV already has three characters in Dissidia, but Rydia would make a fantastic addition to the roster. She is an obvious choice for the Marksman role, but with enough tinkering, she could also fit in as a Specialist.

Beatrix

Okay, here is a character from a game that doesn’t already have three representatives. Most of my favorite Final Fantasy IX moments had Beatrix in them. From the first battle against her when she wipes out the party to her teaming up with Steiner in the Battle of Alexandria, every moment with Beatrix is simply fantastic. Bringing in Beatrix would be excellent, giving Dissidia another dynamic character that can really fit into any role except Marksman. Of course, Beatrix isn’t the only character I would like to see added to the game…

Vivi

Vivi might be the purest Final Fantasy character in the series. The cute little Black Mage brings tons of heart to the game, and I’d like to see Vivi bring that same charm to Dissidia. Like most Final Fantasy black mages, Vivi is an obvious Marksman pick. Sure, there is the risk that we will have yet another Terra or Shantotto, but I’m sure that we can find ways to make Vivi stand out enough.

Gladiolus

I’m shocked at the lack of Final Fantasy XV representation. Sure, Ardyn is a recent addition, but most franchises tend to emphasize the most recent addition to the series in games like this (Looking at you Fire Emblem). I’d like to see another character from Noctis’ party show up. Gladiolus is my favorite bro from the game, and he can bring tons of personality to Dissidia. Of course, he is the third character with a big sword on this list, so I understand the hesitation to add him. I wouldn’t complain if I saw Prompto make an appearance in Dissidia instead as a Marksman.
