Love it or hate it, BTS is one of the biggest names in music going into this decade. Yesterday, BTS’ Black Swan reached number 1 on iTunes in more countries than any song in history, passing Adelle’s Hello. To celebrate their achievement, here are 10 BTS songs that we think would be great in an official Beat Saber add-on pack.
We Are Bulletproof Pt 2
We Are Bulletproof Pt 2 is a title track that I can absolutely imagine being blasted in a club. The bass is strong, the raps are punches, and the energy is intense. All of this is perfect for a Beat Saber track. I’d also love to see a creative way to map all of the hat tricks that they do in the music video.
DNA
DNA would be a nice pick due to the transitions between light but active verses and the energetic chorus. It crosses genres, with a chorus that uses that electronic dance sound that the Beat Saber developers seem to like so much. It likely won’t be an intense workout like some of the songs on this list, but everyone deserves a break, right?
Dope
The reason for picking this song is literally in its title. It’s just Dope. Dope is full energy all the way through, with energetic hooks and dynamic rap verses. There is a little of everything in this song, which will make it a blast to play.
Boy With Luv
You can’t have an artist’s music pack without their most recognizable song. Boy With Luv is a song that just about everyone can enjoy. This one is full of fun, positive energy, so it’s gotta be in the included.
Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)
Energy, energy, energy (Yes, I know that’s a Dope lyric). I’ve mentioned before on this list how important high energy songs are for Beat Saber. The Steve Aoki Remix of Mic Drop brings it. With solid mapping, this song will be a fantastic workout that will hype up any player.
On
On is an instantly iconic song in BTS’ library that would bring a sort of force that currently isn’t in Beat Saber. The drumline throughout the song brings tons of potential when it comes to mapping. There might be a lull in one or two moments, but that shouldn’t stop On from being a treat.
Attack on Bangtan
Here is another song that would fit into any workout playlist. Attack on Bangtan is another fun, high energy song that brings an old-school feel that isn’t on any other song on this list. It’s another break from the norm, but don’t expect this one to be a breather. With solid mapping, this one should make you sweat.
Anpanman
I feel like Beat Saber could use some superhero themes. Since we don’t have any, Anpanman will have to do. The beat might not be as dynamic as some other songs on this list, but it’s just a lot of fun to listen to. I’m sure it will be fun to slash to as well.
UGH
Beat Saber is severely lacking in rap music. UGH will help to remedy that. UGH is one of the best songs in Map of the Soul: 7, and will bring a strong and memorable experience to Beat Saber. The beat and verses all bite hard making this a great song to exercise to when you just need to vent out your frustrations with the world.
Idol
What can I say, Idol is a fun song. The beat is full of diverse sounds. The verses and hooks are all energetic. Idol has everything that makes a great Beat Saber song. Now, all it needs is some creative mapping.
Honorable Mentions: Fire, Dionysus, 21st Century Girls, Go Go,
There you have it! What BTS song would you like to see in Beat Saber?
